Georgia is famous for its hot summers. We recommend casual dress for your daytime attire. Shorts and t-shirts are great. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Also, regulating the temperature at The Classic Center is difficult; a sweater or light jacket will ensure your comfort while attending classes.

Give your business some star-power by becoming a Certified Balloon ArtistSM (CBA®.) The practical exam is administered only a few times a year, and Ballooniversity® is one of them! Find-A-Pro referrals are a bonus, and as part of the QBN® family you will be recognized for your advanced education and initiative. To qualify for the practical exam leading to certification, you must have completed and passed all three Qualatex Balloon NetworkSM (QBN®) online exams (or all five of the older version/paper exams.) For more information and to register for the exam, call Kelly Carter at 800-999-5644 before July 5, 2007. During Ballooniversity®, the exam will be administered at the Hilton Garden Inn® on Thursday, July 26, 2007, at 9:00 a.m. The exam takes approximately four hours to complete and it is suggested that you arrive a half hour before beginning. Your rise to stardom officially begins when you sign up at the registration desk at burton + BURTON™ for your backstage pass (name tags), wardrobe (t-shirt), complimentary meal tickets + drink vouchers. The registration desk will be open on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
The desk will reopen on Friday in The Classic Center Upper Pre-function Area from 6:45 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Thursday evening’s excitement begins outdoors under the stars at the famous burton + BURTON™ tents from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

A welcoming Cast Party will be thrown in honor of “everyone” who is “anyone” on Thursday night at burton + BURTON’S™ corporate headquarters. Come ready for some fun as we kick-off Ballooniversity® 2007 in pure Hollywood style with music, cocktails, and good eats. Enjoy the outdoor atmosphere as we visually explore old Hollywood. Meet and greet all who have “arrived” at Ballooniversity® 2007. The Cast Party starts out your full weekend’s worth of fun and learning. Be ready to shout: “Hooray! for Hollywood.“

A welcome ceremony of Ballooniversity® Cast Members, Famous Celebrity Instuctors, and Crew will take place in The Classic Center Theatre from 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. during breakfast. Maxine Burton, president of burton + BURTON™, will launch your careers by welcoming you to Ballooniversity® 2007. Guest speaker, Treb Heining, who pioneered the industry in the ‘70s, and is known all over the world for producing and directing elaborate spectator/media events, will present a complete history of how the balloon decorating industry got started. His show includes a photo of the first balloon arch ever constructed, the first spiraled arch, three Guinness World Records, and much more. Eat early to see Maxine + Treb, as classes begin immediately following the ceremony. Breakfast from 6:45 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.

Lights! Camera! Action! . . . Enjoy classes taught by our Famous Celebrity Instructors. This year, we offer 1-hour + 45 minute classes to maximize your educational experience!

Dress up in a zany costume and “come on down” to Game Night b + B™ style . . . Drink cocktails and eat hors d’oeuvres from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. . . . As we play “Fabulous Feud” (similar to the popular TV show, Family Feud) in The Classic Center Theatre. You’ll compete against other Cast Members and win fabulous prizes. Immediately following at 9:00 p.m. is, say it with me, B-I-N-G-O! in Room E at The Classic Center.

Relax after a full day by joining us for cocktails from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in The Classic Center Upper Pre-function Area. Drink vouchers are included in your registration fee. The Grand Finale Show + Dinner begins at 7:00 p.m. in The Classic Center Grand Hall.

The Grand Finale Show will be much like Oscar® night in Hollywood. The Classic Center will be a wonderful sight to see with exciting guests, including country music entertainer, Jeff Bates, performing in The Classic Center Theatre.
