Nancy Fire

Since 2011, Nancy has served as design director for HGTV as well as HGTV HOME, the consumer products arm of the most watched lifestyle cable network. Nancy provides trends analysis to multiple divisions of the company and plays a crucial role in product conception with HGTV’s licensing partners. Utilizing Nancy’s retail trend insights, Scripps Networks extended her involvement to HGTV’s sister property, Food Network, in 2016. She works closely with the brand providing product development for Food Network’s licensing partner, Kohl’s.

Nancy is the founder and creative director of Design Works International, where she and her team develop new product lines, reconstruct brand images, and provide customized design direction. Recently, Nancy launched Creative Corporate, which offers an integrated commercial approach for companies, including product strategies as well as product concepts, designs, graphics, trend boards, and digital presentations.  

Nancy is a member of the SURTEX Advisory Council and has served as a judge for the show’s Designext competition. She has served on the Advisory Board of the Fashion Institute of Technology and has participated in Cornell University’s new Institute of Fashion and Fiber Innovation. Nancy has presented and mentored the Fashion Management Class at Cornell.

As a member of the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA), Nancy was one of the original designers to take part in the inaugural Take A Seat campaign in 2013. Nancy received her BFA in design from State University of New York at Oswego.
